Dr. Meisam Gordan is an Assistant Professor in the School of Civil Engineering at University College Dublin (UCD). He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from University of Malaya (UM) in 2020, which was funded by a High Impact Research Scholarship. During his Ph.D. studies, he worked with the Structural Health Monitoring Research Group (StrucHMRSGroup) and Advance Shock and Vibration Research (ASVR) Group at UM. Upon his Ph.D. completion, Dr. Gordan was offered two Post-Doctoral Fellowships at UM and UCD. He subsequently held positions with the University of Malaya Engineering Structural Health Monitoring (UMEngSHM) Group, the Horizon 2020-funded PRECINCT project, and the Structural Dynamics and Assessment Laboratory (SDA-Lab) at UCD. He has developed his multidisciplinary expertise in various fields, such as infrastructure resilience, data mining, Artificial Intelligence, critical infrastructure protection, Industry 4.0, IoT, big data, blockchain, smart cities, transport infrastructure, wind turbines, and bridge health monitoring. He established several research activities such as writing successful scientific proposals through different grants. He is also contributing to the process of knowledge sharing through his role as the Editorial Board Member, Academic Editor, and Guest Editor of several journals and publishers.
